Welcome

Welcome to the St. Paul United Methodist Church website!  We’re glad you found us, and we invite you to take a few moments and explore the ministry of our unique faith community.

As United Methodists, we are grounded in the grace of God, which claims us and loves us as we are and empowers us to be changed into all that God intends for us to be.  We are rooted in the scriptural call to become followers of Jesus Christ.  Our mission is to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community and to invite others to experience the love of Jesus Christ.  We do this through worship, study, and through many fellowship and mission opportunities.

Please accept our invitation to join us on Sunday mornings for Sunday School at 10:00am and Worship Service at 11:00am. Check out the calendar on the site and join us for the various events at St. Paul UMC. Feel free to call or email with questions! We want to get to know you and hope that you will find a place to grow in your walk with God and to belong in a community of grace and love.

Mission Statement:

Serving Christ from the Church on the Corner.

Our Community Projects and Missions:

  • Blessing Box - a community-supported roadside standing box where shelf-stable food, toiletries, diapers/baby wipes, household supplies, etc. can be made available for those in need. The Blessing Box is located in the corner of the churchyard on the corner of Bridge and Amaker Streets.
  • Food Pantry - providing food to the Council on Aging in St. Matthews to be distributed to the elderly in our community who are most in need.
  • Calhoun County Snack Packs - Feeding hungry children in need with a bag of snacks delivered to the local public schools every week for the children to take home and have over the weekend.
  • Angel Tree (Nov/Dec) - Providing gift-wrapped toys and clothes for 15-25 children in need within our local public school. Without this mission, many of these children will not have gifts at Christmastime.

If you or your church, company, or organization would like to volunteer to help with any of these missions, please call the church office at (803) 874-2166. Thank you!
